Got the PS for the built in moonlights, I was pleased with them with the HQI on as it was noticable and gave an actinic look right under them, now that the lights are off.....

Too much for all night? These are way brighter than the current USA ones I used years ago on my 65 high, though deapth probably was big factor as well. I'm thinking I should put these on a timer in the very near future...opinions?

I have the moon lights on my current fixture but I only use them for about an hour or two after all the lights have gone off. I thought mine were too bright too to leave on all night.

Mine are on timers and stay on at night off when other lights are on.

I like them. They act like a night light for going to the bathroom.

Just juding from behavoir, I dont want to run them through the whole dark period, almost all coarals stay open, and very little nocturnal activity takes place, once I turn em off, 5 minuts later I turn on flashlight and theres life everywhere, so now I'm going 2 hours before and after the HQI comes on, and during because they make a slight but noticaeable difference with the HQI on.

I BELIEVE, moonlights help with growth too, not sure, but thought I read that somewhere and would mention it.

moonlights

I ran the moonlights on my new T5 aquaticlife 4 X 36 for a few days but think its way too bright...all my zoas stayed open all night....now I run them only an hour after the main lights go off. I run a single Lunar light in a corner...

I just got one of the $99 Reefkeeper Lites with a moonlight module and the moonlights are on a Lunar Cycle. When the real moon is bright they are bright, when its dim they are dim etc. Love it! I can also vary the intensity or add or subtract moonlights up to 6 pods (12 LED lights).
