I’d use distilled then. Your tank is pretty small, I started with the same size and bought distilled water (no minerals added) and used that for top off and water changes.

will water-conditioned tap water work, or do I get the distilled?
Honestly it will probably be ok for your fish only tank. Just know the conditioner only binds the chlorine away so your fish don’t die. You are adding every other impurity and dissolved solid into your tank.

for corals absolutely will not work. Also you have medicated the tank which doesn’t work for corals either. Corals are extremely challenging and expensive to keep.

My meds didnt contain copper, so I dont really understand how it would hurt the corals.

Sunscreen doesn’t contain copper yet it is causing coral bleaching events. Different chemicals can damage corals not just copper. Most fish meds are not safe to use in reef tanks hence why so many ppl quarantine.

Also, conditioner will only do so much it won’t turn tap into rodi water. If it did why would they sell rodi units… this hobby doesn’t have to be insanely expensive but there are only so many shortcuts you can take if you want a reef.
