First time doing a fishless cycle. This is +8 days from cycle start. my NH3 is zero and my NO2 is at .5 ppm (down from ~4-5 ppm). I have already had NO3 present. Do I need to add more NH3 or let it go until NO2 drops a little more?

Don’t worry about nitrite unless off the charts.
Have you added Ammonia chloride or a piece of shrimp to raise Ammonia?
What test kits are you using?

Yes, I started the cycle with Dr. Tim’s ammonia chloride. I added some ceramic rings from my established tans along with some live sand, live rocks and Bio-Spora.
I’m using a standard API reef kit. I know, not the best but I use Hanna for other trace elements.

Following Dr. Tim’s recipe, I should’ve added a fish today but was a bit reluctant due to NO2 being a little high. I don’t remember what rule of thumb I used for the “fish in tank” cycle on my previous tank.
