First wrasse

What would be a good first wrasse for my aquarium? I have a 65 g that’s been up about 18 months, current stocking is a starry blenny, striped blenny, cardinal and a oc clown, I like the fairy wrasses was looking at a Katherine , solen, or maybe a ruby finned

McCoskers is always a good choice. Just make sure you havea screen top at a minimum. All wrasses will jump

i'm a big fan of a the solon wrasse, it gets too big for my tank or i'd get one

i have two halichoeres: biocellatus and chrysus and they're awesome if you have sand. perfectly peaceful little hunting machines, they avoid any tank drama and just do their thing.

just don't get some of the bad wrasses: sixline, the mean fairy wrasses, thalassoma, etc.

I like the solon, I guess my real question was which fairy’s are mean?

Well, I tried a dusky but I believe he was injured when I got him and he didn’t make it thru qt, he was a very unique looking wrasse, they have crescent fairy’s now so I believe I’ll try it next

Crecents are a good choice gorgeous fish and pleasant demeanor. How did you qt the first one?

I have a 14 bio cube that I use for qt, i cut a slit in the bag, checked the salinity and taped it up, matched my qt salinity, floated to match temp and put him in, he never did swim right, swam head up at first then just kind of floated around for a couple of days before he died.

IMHO the Salon aka Solar Wrasse is somewhat aggressive. I had one that was a complete jerk. My personal favorite of the faries is the Lubbocks. It's also the least expensive.
