This is terrible. My yellow tang ate a big blob of superglue gel when I was attaching frags. He now has a blob that seems to off glued his mouth shut. I tried feeding to intice him to force his mouth open but it didn't work. Catching seems impossible. Im freaking out here. What a stupid situation. Any ideas? Anyone have this happen before.

Man I hope so. Couldn't find a fish trap so that is my only option unless he becomes super slugish and I can net him. I feel so bad-hes one of the long haulers and part of the tank family.

My PBT eats super glue every once and a while. Never seen any permanent effects.

A foxface I had years ago got his mouth glued shut for a while doing the same thing...didn't even seem to faze him, the next day he was fine. Keep us posted on how it oges...my advice, leave him alone for now.

What up dwayne. Ya totally lame. I've been keeping an eye on him and he seems to be doing fine just freaking out a bit and I don't blame him. Finally started trying to scrape it off with the rockwork. Looks like he's got a white foomanchoo. He escaped the last pick but oh well shots like that help me feel a lil better :)

The tangs slime coat should cause it fall off in a day or two.
So long has he/she is not stressing out I doubt there will be any long term affect.

Ya its a cruel world. While running everywhere looking for an option to help me with the situation-people couldn't help but laugh at the situation. They just don't know my tang like I do :( he's doing good this morning though. Still out and about. I fed and it seems he's worked out a lil hole through the super glue and was able to grab some small pieces-thank goodness. Let's hope it keeps going good.

Lights haven't come on yet but we will see. Its sad because he still goes through the motions of trying to eat and graze even though it doesn't seem to be getting him anywhere. I've been utilizing my grow out feeds that are super small to give him a better chance of being able to eat.

They can go up to a week without eating from what I've read and be just fine. Has he gotten any more of it off?
