Fish eggs or snail eggs?

Okay so first I'm not sure if this is the right spot so if not feel free to move it.


But last night I was looking at my tank when all of a sudden a massive blob gets sucked into my powerhead and out comes millions of eggs? I thought it was neat, because hey someone gettings some right? But then I thought to myself who was it? After looking online i don't think it was my clownfish as their eggs are orange right, but snail eggs are white????

The strange part is these eggs were green. Yes green?! So what does that mean??

I have 2 clowns, a melanurus, lawnmower and a diamond goby....plus a ton of snails. So someone help me out here what lays greenish teal eggs?!

Also couldn't really take a picture...it's to small for my phone to focus, it just looks like a black dot on the screen so it's pointless to post it.

The “eggs” may be some type of algae. Do a Internet search for “Valonia” and “green bubble algae” to see if any of the images match what you saw in your tank.

I believe my clown eggs are first silver, they are also stuck to a rock, never seen them floating around

I know it's not either of those as I've seen bubble aglae and they weren't anything like that.

They could have been silver and not green. It was hard to tell since they were so small. I think there are some in the filter sock so i'll try and post of a picture of them when i get home.

Either way, mine were always attached to a rock, the male clown constantly tends to them
