Fish ideas for a 65G reef.

Looking for some suggestions for fish for my 65G reef. Currently at the moment I have two clowns, Blenny and a Tomini tang. I am open to any suggestions for fish to place into my system. What would you guys recommend R2R?

I would highly recommend looking into some wrasses, your tank is large enough for nearly all of the reef-safe wrasses. Fish in the Cirrhilabrus genus and the Paracheilinus genus will do very well in your tank, as well as a couple of fish from the Halichoeres genus as well. I would highly recommend a Mccosker's flasher wrasse(Paracheilinus mccoskeri) or a Melanurus wrasse(Halichoeres melanurus). Both of those fish are easy to take care of, not too expensive, and will be truly stunning in your tank.

I will most certainly look into them. Thank you for the compliment on the bubble. I recently acquired it from my LFS. I fell in love with it and had to have it. Here is a close up pic

Awesome! Feed it and watch the growth explode :)
Let me know if you have any questions about those fish, they're some of my favorites. Another good flasher wrasse is the Carpenter Flasher Wrasse(Paracheilinus carpenteri), they're equally gorgeous when flashing.

Flame or longnose hawk, royal gramma, purple tile, as well as some of the wrasses mentioned are good options.

I'd strongly recommend against it. Triggerfish in general require a lot of room, and I wouldn't personally feel comfortable putting one in a 65 gallon tank. I would say a 6' 125 gallon minimum for one of those. And my experience on Blue Jaw's is that they often lose the "blue jaw" in captivity and become quite drab, without a mate. I'd stick with a couple of wrasses, maybe a Watchman Goby. One of my favorite fish :)

I agree. 65g isn't enough space for a blue jaw.

I'd suggest wrasse as well as they are colourful and active, which really brings the reef to life.

Another good idea is a fish that is harder to find, like a watchman goby (or even better a pistol shrimp goby pair) as by looking for them you notice more I your tank than you would otherwise do.
