Fish Kamikaze

Idiot flasher wrasse decided to jump into the abyss amidst the cords and chaos behind the tank. There is no conceivable chance of recovery but body excavation also is dang near impossible. Whats the worst if I just leave it? Will it stink? eat through cords? etc?

It was a small guy (maybe about 1.5 inch across and thin). A real beauty too. Not to mention I paid 200+ $ for him.

You probably won't even smell it after a day. The fish I've come home to that went for a carpet walk I found by seeing them, not by smell.

You can't get it with a reacher or something like that?
I don't see how it could damage cords or connections. In a few days it will be dried up fish jerky.
