Hi,
I’d like to pass my stock list through here for my 40 gallon breeder. I’d like to have some oscellaris clowns, a blenny, a six line wrasse and a pair of Banggai cardinals. Would that be a volatile mix or would they be ok together? Would a 40 gallon breeder be too small for the group?
Thanks!

Sounds good. Only two problems I can see is the cardinal pair not getting along or the 6 line being a 6 line.

In over 30 gallons they are known to work better. One option is the pink streak wrasse, which looks very similar but is not at all aggressive.
All of the fish in your list could handle a 6 line given ample hiding spaces.
