Every evening while either feeding the reef or getting ready to play xbox, I've noticed one of my long time purchases, a black longnose tang from P.I.A, swimming upside down. At 1st, super scary seeing 1 of my guys belly up, but each time I approach to either do a visual check or capture this on video, he bolts. In a 8 foot tank, he only does this in 1 of 2 areas, under a frag rack or next to my 2 Picasso clowns with their nem and eggs.

I've carefully watched all the other fish and they aren't showing any signs of this. Also, the black tang is the boss of the tank at approximately 5 inches. He eats great and still advises everyone he's still in command. I've recently notice that while suspended upside down, the regal angel comes and hangs out (no aggression, they've been buds for 1+ years).

So, your honest .02, is my tang losing it, letting his goofy side out or trying to see things from a different perspective???

Lol. Just thought I'd share. Please share your fish's personality that's not in any books.

I don't know if your tang is losing it or not. My Powder Blue will get a burr in it's saddle and dash around the tank, stopping on a dime. I guess to show everybody it's boss?
