Fish not being active.

I have 2 clowns, coral banded shrimp and a 6 line wrasse. My wrasse doesn’t look look like he’s active anymore. Would adding a fish maybe cause him it to be active? My water is good. I have a 37 gallon tall.

When you say your water is good, what does that mean? No one will mind a lot of information. Give it to us.

Add another sixline wrasse. You’ll see lots of activity! (mine spends most of his time cave spelunking, so I think it’s typical for the species)

I've never used the red sea tests, so I may be wrong, but I believe you're supposed to set the vial on the white circle to read the values.

You are. But since the charts are water-resistant, I guess this could work, too.

When trying to match shades of a color from a test, the depth of the liquid will change the color. So unless the random drops happen to be the same height as the water in the vials then it's not a viable way to read the tests.

I just use the vials (less cleaning).

You really do need to read the results i the vial or they won’t be accurate

An inactive sixline may be due to disease. A sixline could be in a tank by itself and it should still be active and looking for food and snaking in and out of the rock work.

Seems something may be wrong.

IME usually when a fish's behavior changes without any obvious reason it is usually not a good thing. Is there anything else unusual about the fish, spots on it like a parasite, fast respiration rate, etc. Also, how old is the tank, even with just the drop your ammonia looks a little high, so once tested properly I'm curious what your ammonia reading is.

Agree completely. 6 line never stops looking for critters to eat. Something isn’t right if it’s not active
