This is a friend's tank I'm putting together with low maintenance. Fish will be fed primarily with a Neptune Auto Feeder.

Eel might be tough to feed regularly.

Eels are easy. Put some food on tongs and put it by his head. Mine also scavenges around and pick up chunks.

Is it too much? Maybe leave out the Naso? I was thinking of doing a Kole or Tomini tang instead.

I think a kole or tomini would be happier. Nasos get big. I have a Tomini, between him and my foxface I have zero algae and my nutrients are off the charts.

Very good to know. I've never kept a puffer before. I'll have to read up some more. I'll skip out on the Naso for sure. I appreciate the advice. I am not used to these larger fish.

Ahhhh that explain it. Got it in that case yes u need something with less maintenance.

So the cycle is nearing its end. I am trying to finalize a stocking list. I was thinking...

A pair of Maroon Clowns
Blue Hippo Tang
Yellow Tang
Naso Tang
Emperor angel
Porcine puffer

Is this fully stocked?

I was also considering a blue throat trigger as well.

The 8 1/2 ft tank is big enough for a Naso, as long as it is N. elegans or lituratus and not vlamingii or one of the unicorns. It would be a great addition since they get so big but are peaceful.

That species of trigger will be fine as well.

Your nutrient levels and algae problems will tell you if it's too heavily stocked. In a FOWLR, though, that really isn't even that much of a concern.

I am sure I will get a good amount of back and forth on the Naso. I have always loved them but I am concerned with the tank size. The other large tang I was considering was the PBT.

Powder blue/or brown would be fine too. You have basically a standard 240 gallon.
