I'm using the new era grazer for my tang. My clowns seem to go at it all day long and look extra.... Plump.

Can they die from over eating? And has anyone even had success with the grazer.

Fish are pigs and they are constantly looking for food. The problem is if we don't keep them on a diet you will have issues with nitrates ,excess nutrients etc. In there natural environment this not a issue but in our small ecosystems this can be a problem if we overfeed.

I see what you are saying with it, and I totally agree. My biggest thing is I want to actually be able to keep a healthy tang, and I never have been able to. I bought a tomini tang this weekend and bought the grazer food with it. But it won't touch it, just the clowns nip all day at it. So I wanted to be sure the clowns wouldn't explode lol

How do I get a tang to eat! Geez I can't win in this hobby lol

I have many tangs and I only feed them once a day. I feed them a variety of different foods and they have done great for many years. If this a new fish he may a little stressed from the move. Give him some time and some have had luck soaking food in a garlic additive. But like I said give him time and hopefully he will start eating.

I would use nori sheets but got tired of most of it getting torn off and going down the drain. I found Hikari Seaweed Extreme pellets. everything in the tank loved them. I'd sprinkle a few pellets in every day just to make sure the tangs were getting some kind of seaweed.

My tangs won't touch the ERA grazers. I've had them for years. I guess they are used to the nori sheets. They also eat the Seaweed Extreme pellets. The only fish that pick at the grazer in my tank is my Lawnmower Blenny and my wrasses(yes, my wrasses...lol).

Lol I think it's because it has squid and shrimp in it. My clowns LOVE it. I'll try some nori sheets soaked in garlic this weekend
