Hi all! I’ve been wondering how people get amazing shots of their fish with their phones! I know a lot of people use DSLR’s, but some people like me who either have one but it’s broken or don’t have one at all. I’ve seen people on instagram who have a lot of amazing fish pics with phones but seems like I can’t even get good pictures of my royal gramma who doesn’t move around as often as the clowns. Even getting my baby mandarin is hard even if she swims and stops all the time. I’ve tried playing around with shutter speed but it’s not working out for me that well. If I have a shutter speed that will catch my fish with less blur, the pictures gets darker and more grainy. Any tips or suggestions on FISH photography with a phone? And I’m sorry if this was already discussed, I haven’t found a lot about fish photos with phones.

What I do is feed the tank, throw on my orphek 20k lens and macro lens or the polarized Lens and take some shots. I just took these but the glass had algae on it

Wow! See, you have better pictures than I do. Yours are still and they don’t move and blur a lot. Mine are so blurry those are awesome pics! I also have the Orphek lenses. They work great

Tips are to keep the camera flat against the glass. Don’t chase the fish let it come into camera view. What camera do you have(phone)

iPhone 8. I try with my brothers iPhone 12 too but it’s still too slow although the zoom and all is a lot better. Yeah but my clowns swim rapidly all the time, and even if they are swimming slower I can’t get a picture LOL
