Looking for feedback about the following plumbing design / sketch

Screen Shot 2023-01-15 at 12.19.39.png

I'm a bit newer to 3-way valves -- and wondering if the above is the simplest / most failsafe way to accomplish the following:
  1. Ensure water only ever flows downstream (I will also have air gaps for QT systems)
  2. Only use one pump if possible.
The diagram above will be "flowing downstream" to a Reefer G2 S-1000, and will be used in emergencies when I need to do larger 20%+ water changes.

The "normal water change mode" will be via a Neptune DOS / Continuous Water change.

Here's an overview of the WIP on the fish room design:

Initial searching helped me find these valves:

and thinking of these 100gallon tanks: https://rockymountaintanks.com/product/100-gallon-emergency-tanks/

Looking for overall critiques/part recommendations, comments/concerns. Any feedback is welcomed!

Wow. That looks like an amazing setup and I don’t see why the three way valve wouldn’t work for you. Good luck!

Just throwing ideas out, but if you have your RO tank higher than the salt tank, you can use gravity to flow.
1) Mount RO up as high as possible.
2) Have a wider than tall shaped RO tank mounted high.
3) have an outlet from RO to the salt mix tank and feed in via gravity.
4) use your pump to move from sale tank onwards

Thank you! I’ll play around with the vertical space a bit more. Gravity would be ideal.

That’s how I have mine setup. RODI fills the top container, use gravity and a ball valve to control flow into bottom container for saltwater. Have a pump in my saltwater container and one in my sump. Turn the sump one on to drain water from sump into sink, turn the saltwater pump on to fill back to the sump. Easy 15 min water change.
