Hey people, I am trying to figure out a new stock for my 20 gal Nuvo aquarium that is an sps dominant reef. I'm trying to find something different that won't break the bank since I'm on a budget (something that's $75 or less) and I want to stay away from aggressive fish like dottybacks. Also, I know I want a Mandarin once my tank is ready for one. I would like to hear what suggestions y'all can give me to help make my tank pop.

Agree with the above 2 possibly 3 small size fish is all that will fit in there.

I have 5 in my Nuvo 20 :oops:

clownfish
Purple firefish
Tailspot blenny
Springer damsel
Yellow banded possum wrasse

Favorite is the possum wrasse, also have heard the pink streaked wrasse is similar. Very cool fish.

I had 9 fish at once in my Max Nano (18” cube, the back takes out about 3 inches so 18”x15”x18”). If you play your choices right you can go for more fish. My personal favourite nano fish (in order) I’ve owned were;
- Discordipinna griessingeri
- Wetmorella tanakai/albofasciata
- Pseudocheilinops ataenia
- Trimma tevegae
- Gobiodon acicularis
If you’re interested in any of them I can try answer your questions :)
