Anyone here that repairs tanks? Found a tank that may need new panel, just wondering if could get cheap enough if it would be repairable or worth the time. Thanks

If it's the one I was looking at on RC not worth it, already looked in to it.

It is a 240 i think. It is 84" x 24" x 31" ish. I cant remember what the height was. It is perfect for what i want, i am going to make it viewable from both sides and the overflows are in the end in center. What is RC? Thanks guys. I really like this forum. Lot of people helping each other and actually answer. LOL. RThe AUDI forums suck they are stuck up.lol

RC is Reef Central. Lindsey replaced a panel in his 180 I believe. He may have some advice for you. :) Probably the best place to get a panel for your tank would be Glass Cages.

If its my brothers, he bought it from a girl that got it from glass cages. Hope it works out for you. I'm about to redo a 60g cube a friend gave me with a cracked bottom. His renters left it when they skipped out on him, even left a pleco and aquatic turtle in it. They were donated to the LFS.

I'll never repair a tank again

I repaired a 55 once. Cut out all the old silicone, cleaned the glass and re-sealed with aquarium sealant. Then I went on vacation and the bottom seal cut loose and dumped every bit of the water out. I had all the tank hardware plugged into 2 plug strips that the leak filled with water and they melted. I was lucky it didn't burn the house down.

I replaced the end pannel on a 225. While i was a lot of work, it wasnt too hard. I could help you if you have the pannel precut.
