Fish tank stand issues

Like others have said I would add a piece of ply and shim it to level. Just an idea if I just wanted to level that gap I would look at bondo, like the automotive body filler. It dries hard and is easy to work back to a smooth surface.

How about a piece of foam like they use for acrylic tanks?
