Is the skimmate thick and chunky, or watery and lots of it ?...

skimmate is not chunky. I'm dry skimming. About 24 oz per week.

I'm throwing witches brew at it since I've had cyano since at least March. But now it's 90% covering the sand bed. Only reason it's not 100% is because of the wrasses sleeping in the sand.

Diana don't worry I have the same but not on sand only comes over glass every time. Using UV /nutrient levels are good.Lighting has been shortened . Tested ro water is at 0 . I've never had this problem but this is the first time I have used dry rock never again you can not beat live rock . Is it miracle mud that your going to try ? . Good luck going forward hope you beat it

Yep it's just because I have never used it before always live rock for me. I find the ugly stage is never ending lol. All my other tanks are live rock. I am not blaming dry rock but over time it may all come good. I am thinking total black out and see if that helps thank for your comment

Well it has to go in the tank to work silly! If it's still dry after 10 years you're likely doing something wrong.
