I'm going to use a par38 LED bulb under my stand to grow macros in my sump. Not sure what type of fixture/socket to hook this up to.

Will this work with a standard Home Depot clamp light designed for 75w incandescent bulb?

The HD clamp on fixture will work just fine. What's important about the bulb, other than not exceeding the wattage for an incandescent bulb (gets too hot), is that the Kelvin needs to be between 5000-6500. If that is met, incandescent, compact florescent, or LED would all work.
