Thinking of adding a flame angel. I have a small green trumpet coral that is just beginning to grow (Got it as a small frag about a month ago). Also have a xenia which is of course growing undaunted.

Will the flame angel mess with either of these?

It may.I wouldn't risk it personally; trying to catch one in a stocked tank is difficult at best.

It is impossible to say unfortunately.....I just had to get rid of a Flame not too long ago because he was picking at my coral. I have also had them without any issues in a reef tank. Each angel is different.

Although I've never had a problem with my flame angel. I can tell you that LPS are at the most risk. Having a mature tank with lot of natural food helps tremendously, like copepods. They are a very active fish, always on the go and hunting.

Mine is great doesn't touch any coral maybe I'm lucky but he's also my favorite fish in the tank... Unless he starts nipping he's here to stay I also am housing him in a mixed reef lps/sps with zoas and ricordia

I have a flame and a coral beauty, and they both pick at everything. But, none of the zoas or Duncan or clam seem the worse for it. I did have a hammer disappear, but I'm not sure that it wasn't on the way out already.
