Hey guys, just lost my flame angel that I have had since December. Water parameters look good. He was housed with a single clownfish and never seemed to be any aggression. He quit eating and stayed hidden for about a week before he died. His colors looked good though. What do you think happened ?

Not sure. Had the same thing happen with a Potter's. Was he quarantined and treated for internal parasites?

How was its breathing?

You say the water quality was good. can you elaborate on the numbers for:
Ammonia
nitrate
ph
salinity
temperature
phosphate

Age of tank ?
What test kits are you using?
Type of water used? (RODI or tap water from the faucet?)

Sometimes fish just die, mine did. Long as your ammonia is not off the charts

No not that I could tell. Physically he looked great. He began breathing heavy and an hour later he was gone. Thanks for your input!
