Hey ya'll ,
I recently set up a 20-gallon tank about a month ago for my mom and she LOVES flame hawks. Wondering if I might be able to put one in that tank or would it be too cramped, also the tank has one Medium clown and 3 turbo snails.

Thanks!

hey, it should be fine. But if there are any other fish you want to add, you might want to add it before the hawk because they tend to be very aggressive towards anyone new. Also sometimes they try to know snails off glass and if they are successful and the snail lands on its backs then the snail might get eaten.

Mine absolutely loves swimming..he does perch but he literally cruises the 100 gallon like he’s in like a nascar track, but not saying he wouldn’t be fine in a 20

I can tell you love them based on your profile picture XD
Yep absolutely…I love the little guy!!! So much personality! He has to check out every thing that gets added to the tank right away and he will watch me as I stare into his home….and those little eyes are always going!

Thanks everyone for your replies! I prob will keep him in the 20 for a while then move him on up to my 75 in the future if he outgrows it.

That's fine because the hawkfish is the only fish that I'm ever going to add to that tank.

Sounds like a good fish for your tank then! Lots of personality and cool flame red colour.
