Hey all I have a flameback in my 55-gallon tank and he is a fairly recent addition. He was hiding for a while but eating well so I wasn't concerned at all but today I noticed he has some damage on his right side (missing a few scales) and is breathing a bit heavy. I think one of the other fish took a swipe at him (he is the smallest). I have a foxface, a sleeperbanded goby, a Hawkfish, and a clownfish. Best thoughts on what I should do? Right now he is still eating just swimming a bit weird and hiding a bit more. So my current plan is just to feed more so there's less aggression and he gets food easy.

Some pics will help. Also set something to record while not in the room to find the aggressor if that's the case.

My money is on the Hawkfish, my flamehawk is a terror when it comes to new tankmates. The worst part is that catching him is a nightmare, even fishtraps take days sometimes. So now, every time I know I am getting new fish, I take him out days ahead of schedule and toss him in the sump for 2 weeks until the new fish becomes acclimated.

I have a long nose and he usually isn’t a problem I think it may be the clown or fox face not sure 100% though. Sorry the image is a bit blurry.
