Anyone have any fish loss or coral loss from using FE?

I’ve tried multiple attempts at manual removal but they always come back in numbers. Not crazy amounts, but I can probably count 50 on the glass right now. My Malanurus wrasse doesn’t eat them, so I think FE is my best option.

Also, will a 15% WC be adequate with a 1.5 lbs of activated carbon in the return be enough to eliminate FE post treatment?

Cheers.

FE won’t harm your tank. But flatworms release a toxin when they die, so the more serious your infestation the more toxin will be released to the water. This toxin is what kills fish and corals, not FE. So carbon and water changes will remove the toxins afterwards.

Have you used it in your tank?

Years ago I did. It worked perfectly and they didn’t come back. Just follow the instructions carefully and it should be fine.

Will do. It’s not an overly large infestation, so I’m hoping one dose will do it. Thanks for the heads up.
