Floating stuff in my tank

Hey everyone I have all this floating stuff around my tank i don’t think it’s copepods because it only goes with the flow of my water and they are only visible when a light is shined from above on them. Any help with what they might be or how I can remove them.

could be sand or rock sediment, hard to tell exactly. best way to remove for water clarity is probably mechanical filtration like polyfill or a filter sock.
