Hello everyone,

I'm planning on a family trip to Florida in June and would like to take my children snorkeling.
Anyone have any insight on the best place to take them??
I'd love to know what's your favorite and what the costs are.

Thank you in advance for your responses!!

Key largo is where you want to go, it's very well known for its diving and there are many tour boats that will take you out to the reef to snorkel. Theres many different reefs to choose from and it's by far the most accessible as well as beautiful in the state. There are a few spots in the keys with interesting snorkel areas from shore, but they are few and far in between. Key largo is also the best for younger families, as it's not nearly as crazy as key West but not as desolate as the center keys.
Some words of caution from a charter Captain from South Florida, check the weather before your trip. You're looking for 10mph or less winds and no storms, which is just about every day before noon that time of year. Have fun!

Agreed ^ book a trip in the morning hours, places like John Pennykamp or the Christ of the Abyss are great places to look into. I remember snorkeling 10-15 years ago in the keys and sadly soooo much has changed. However you and the kids will have a great time [emoji1417]
