Hello!

I'm Melissa, 29, new to saltwater aquariums.

Currently cycling a Biocube29 with a start date of 06/20/16.

Planned stock:
Goby/shrimp
Black clownfish
Dottyback
Starfish

I'm really into the color purple and hoping to do a predominately purple coral tank.

I'd love suggestions for good purple corals!

Reading up and learning!

I'm in Jacksonville, Fl. I'm being guided by a great local saltwater shop.

Previous freshwaters were:
55g w/parrot cichlids, loaches, and musk turtle
38g w/ parrot cichlids, loaches
Pretty much loved parrot cichlids and really love clown loaches.
And current freshwater-
5g w/ black moor goldfish

I'd love suggestions for good purple corals!

Welcome to R2R! Lots of great info on here.

Like Blackhawk said, some zoas/palys and mushrooms have the purple tone. Google purple deaths. Grow easy & can be found for cheap. Also, if you can find the purple plating photosynthetic sponge, it looks great and is a super fast grower.

What shop do you go to in Jax?

Make sure you start a build thread in the Nano forum on here and post lots of pics.
@helen can be a great mentor to you too as she went through some ups and downs with her cube.

Welcome home, you will love it here! I'm 30 in August.

Blue clove polyp would give a nice blue, purple color. It covers most my rock and I really like it.

I have to go to Jacksonville (actually fernandina beach) in a few weeks for work. I work on boilers and have been doing some work on one of the two paper mills on the island.

Welcome to R2R fellow Floridian. There are a couple of purple Gorgonians that are pretty, and will add a little movement to the tank as well.
