Hi
I have a 20 gallon nano mixed reef tank, and I am currently trying to improve the flow. I currently have a wavemaker that does about 10x tank volume turn over, and yesterday I purchased a Sicce Voyager Nano 2000, which does 25x tank volume turn over by itself, bringing it to a total of 35x tank volume turn over. However, I noticed that the flow down by my mushroom corals was really high, some of the mushrooms were a lot smaller however I am not 100% sure if that is to do with the flow. I saw a bit of green hair algae by the mushrooms that was being blown around a huge amount, and I know that mushrooms don't like high flow.

I am considering changing out the Sicce Voyager Nano 2000 for the 1000 which will make my overall tank turnover (not including the return pump) to around 25x. I want to have this tank as a mixed reef including torches, hammers, frogspawns, acans, duncans, mushrooms and in terms of SPS I am planning on getting some montiporas, would this 25x tank turn over be enough for these corals and in particular the SPS?

Any feedback will be appreciated, thanks

Right ok
What is the turn over or flow rate on yours? I see that you have SPS so I'd like to go with something similar
I ran the jebao in else mode at 100%. Else mode is random and speeds up and slows down. Also ran it in w1 mode which is a pulse.
Heres a pic of the controler.

My original wavermaker is controllable, but the new Sicce one I got isn't

What I'll do is swap out the sicce for the lower flow rate sicce and turn down my controllable one if I need to

Thanks for the info
