I'm trying to figure out how much flow I should have minimum and maximum.

Current setup
Current loop system with 2- 1050gph controllable wave pumps
1- 900 gph old-school powerhead (will be upgrading to loop system 2100 gph controllable wave pump in future)
1- 1100gph sump pump (will be upgrading to loop system controllable sump pump in future)

Yes, I'm running a little low right now, but will be adding more rock in a couple of days. I need more height to reach proper par with my lights. I need at least 4 inches more on the top for a 250 par. But all that will be behind the current 2 structures.

I currently have 1 sps, but he is NOT happy.(top of column) So it will probably be a few months before i try another. This time will be spent getting more fish and non-sps coral.

It’s probably not happy with the lights you have. Do you test your water to see where your parameters are at?

It probably is my lights, that's why i got more coming later this week. I was actually kind of looking for some flow expertise for a sps dominate mixed reef tank. I know I'm going to need different flow rates thru out the tank, just trying to figure out how much maximum flow i need in future pump purchases...

But my parameters have been steady for months according to my api test kit. Which i probably need a better kit.
