flow in shallow frag tank

i have a shallow 4ft long x 6" deep x 16" wide frag tank with live rock rubble on base with grid sitting on that with frags on top of grid so there is infact only about 3" of water above frags lol.

i currently have a spray bar along entire length of back glass attached high which directs flow towards front glass and also creates plenty surface aggitation at same time, so the flow then hits front glass then rolls down and back on itself over the top of the frags (so far so good) but im finding tho the tank is only 16" wide and shallow, really from the middle area to the back there isnt much water movement b/c the flow peeters out before it reaches there *so not so good really)

so i think a change in pump/flow set up is needed to try create a nice bit of flow across whole area of grid.

any suggestions to achieve this with one pump?

I too just created a frag tank almost the same specs as yours... I kind of truned my into a sump to control nitrites/nitrates with cheato. The rest if te tank (about 3 feet or less) is all for frags. I currently have a mini jet 606 which produces 160 GPH. The sand bed is 4 inches and water level is only 5-6 inches above that. Its working great... I'm just waiting for my bulb to come in so I can start putting in some frags....:D
