Good evening,

I dosed Fluconazole to get rid of Bryopsis about 15 days ago I keep alk steady at around 10dkh and throughout the first week i was testing alk daily and it remained the same. I tested my alk tonight and it was 12.1dkh. I tested 5mins after my doser went off so unfortunately it just dosed another 12ml of AFR. All my other corals are fine but my torches are looking rough (lesson learned) Anyway what can I do to fix this? I shut the doser off and will test tomorrow multiple times to see if it increases or decreases. Should I stop dosing all together and let it drop naturally or will it drop to quickily? I'm really mad I did something so stupid. I thought after the first week of no changes it would be alright but I was wrong. This was a 1.8 jump in alk in 6 days which is pretty bad is there anything I could do tonight to drop it after the doser already went off?

Water change with low alkalinity saltwater is probably the safest.

Have you checked to make sure the salinity is correct?

Salinity is 1.024. I have instant ocean reef crystals on hand which mixes about 11dkh I guess that's better then 12dkh.

You'd have to change all of the water to get it to 11. I'd leave it to drop on its own.
