Have a 40 gallon tank set up for nearly 5 months. There has been no new additions in about 5 weeks. Lately my gramma has been flashing the sand often, which he hasn’t done to my knowledge. This started a few days ago. I’ve tried to do some research regarding whether flukes can spear in a system within that time frame. I’ve also read at times they’ll flash the sand to release food. He’s eating well, not breathing heavily, fins are fine. My other close and goby in the tank haven’t shown any change in behavior.

A freshwater dip will either confirm or eliminate flukes from consideration.
