I'm starting a fluval evo 13.5, broke down my 25 gal fowlr and gonna dive into the coral game,

Stocking
2 ocalaris clowns
Wellers goby
3 nerites
1 troachaus snail
Purple pin cushion urchin
Kenya tree colony

Added a ps2 skimmer i got for 30 bucks on sale, planning on adding actinic strips and converting second chamber to cheato algae, idk if thats a good idea though, tank has been up for 3 days but used things out of the 25 and my parameters are great! Plan on doing weekly 25% water changes with red sea reef pro, ill add pictures of where I plan on putting things also, any reccomendations on actinic strips? And silly question, do sunset and sun up systems help with corals? Thanks!

@najer i noticed you've been following my thread, and I just scrolled through 42 pages of your 75 gal display, and was wondering where should I place my powerhead? Corals have changed a bit btw

Update: sorry it took so long been really busy

Added duncan coral and green star polyps, everything else is doing well

Added spin stream nozzle, hydor 240 nano, and 2 432mm 9w attinic strips, and ordered a manual dimmer for the main led unit, upgraded my pump to a Rio 800 that I had sitting around

Wooo i am now once again broke! God i love this hobby so that single box turned into 2 boxes, then 2 boxes and a bag, spent 85 dollars yesterday, which to you grown people who can have jobs sounds like little, but to me that's a fortune, stupid child labor laws... anyway back to what I bought, I found a galaxia coral for only 10 dollars! I picked that up and its sitting on the long flat peice in my tank, next 3 for 5 dollars i got a small birdsnest, a mushroom, and I think dying toadstool, all less then half a inch, really cool though! I got a xenia frag for 10 dollars, which I like and want to take over that rock, next and very excitingly I got a 4 headed neon hammer coral! 30 dollars for him but I like him alot! Now for the big one, 40 hole dollars for a orange tipped bubble tip anenome! I love him and can't wait to see him grow!

I like what you’re doing there! I’ve got a modded 13.5 EVO myself :) 1 year in… I will say FROM EXPERIENCE twice in this thing though, you should’ve waited on the bubble tip at least another 6 months… also, ditch that nasty fluval foam block… those are an ammonia breeding ground. The skimmer is useless in a tank this small. Weekly water changes of 10-15% will take care of what a skimmer does on a tank this size… I recommend ditching the skimmer, too, getting an InTank media basket for the first chamber and converting the second into a micro fuge. These little upgrades will work wonders if you’re going reef

Wanted to do the micro fuel anyways, but got a light reccomendation for the fuel? Beautiful reef btw very blue and pops all colors! I like how much negative space there is giving it a much more open feel, and making it larger looking! Congrats on being so successful! Also my entire tank was seeded from a old system so I think I'm fine, again though the fuge light?

Thanks… a lot of blood sweat and tears lol sorry, didn’t realize you seeded from the fowlr. This fuge light works great for me:
