Fluval Evo 13.5 (yes another one!)

Hi all I’ve upgraded this nano tank nicely with a sicce 1.0 pump and the intank chamber 1 media basket. Cobalt aquatics heater fits really well also. Soooo... after spending that much on it I realized the cover really sucks and it’s gonna cook my fish in summer. Custom screen top ain’t a problem but here’s the thing; as much as I’d like a AI Prime HD Kessil or hydra 26 I can’t afford to spend more on that tiny tank. Does anyone know of a bracket I could hook the stock light on? Thanks :)

Yeah the cover is... covered (bad pun) but I’d like to use the stock light over it searching for bracket options.

Sounds like you've got a good start with the Sicce and InTank. When I had a Fluval Evo I put two small pieces of .5 inch black pvc under the stock light to elevate it above the hood and was pleased at how much heat escaped (about 3 degrees) without significantly diminishing coverage and par. LPS and softies did well.

How warm does it get in Quebec in the Summer anyway, lol?

Sounds nice it could work for now though I’ll get a screen top eventually even if evaporation will be awful. It can be up to about 43 Celsius with humidex. We get both extremes lol
