I have a 55g and upgrading to a 120g in a couple of days. Currently I run 3 trays of bio media, the foam along the outside rings of the trays, fine foam on the top tray and chemipure blue in the bottom. My water is 90%vlear with some particles in it. My question is, if I take out the coarse foam from the sides of the trays and fill it with more bio media, will this be better or worse for water? So I would like 3 trays of bio media, with fine foam on top and chemipure blue on bottom. what are your thoughts on this. thanks for any replies
