Flying With Fish????

Im flying to Reefapaloza in Orlando this April. I dont know if ill leave the show with any livestock, but I'm trying to decide if I should fly home or rent a car for the return trip just in case. Does anyone have any experiance taking marine livestock on a domestic flight? Im flying Alliegent.
I cant find anything on thier website, and Ive been on hold with thier customer service line for 30 minutes now.

According to TSA.gov… Yes in carry on bags only, NOT in checked baggage.

I’m not sure if Allegient can override this, but how would they know once you get through security?

TSA is usually able to figure out that the liquid with a fish swimming in it is not a threat to the safety of the passengers and crew aboard a modern aircraft.
The rules of 4oz of liquid volume in one plastic zip lock bag don’t apply to a passengers “Support Fish” and/or Support Frags and many of the gate guards are happy to see fish and other interesting creatures getting hand carried aboard and airplane.

They will also survive inside your checked luggage. Keep an event flier and receipts next to the fish so that the search party that riffles through your belongings can get a clue about what you’re doing.

I always used to hide my coral in a bag with dirty clothes when we were traveling. I found that thong underwear would be the best protection for a coral hidden inside a suitcase. TSA always left a note saying that they had been sniffing around in our suitcases.:face-with-hand-over-mouth::face-blowing-a-kiss:
