I am looking into getting a flow sensor for my fmm. I have the rsr 170 with the green soft tubing going from return pump. How would I hook it up since it needs to be out of the water? Thank you! (All videos I've watched are the hard PVC tubing so it does not really help)

Could you go to a local hardware store in the plumbing section buy slip to barb fittings and put it in your soft tubing to keep it out of the water?

I dont know if I would cut the green tube or if it would go in at the top where it meets the hard pipe ( not sure if it disconnects) can check after work at post pics of it

Not mine as I found online but it's the green soft tubing that connects to return pump

Very easy. You will need a 1 Inch flow sensor. You will then have to step down the fittings on both ends of the sensor with slip to barb fittings that would accommodate the green 5/8 tubing.

I installed the One Inch Flow Sensor on my RSR250 which has same plumbing as you a few years back.

You would put the flow sensor here, and you would have to cut the tube.

Did you know you can upgrade the 5/8 to 3/4 inch?
