Slightly unrelated to the other items I've been posting, but wanted to share because I think it's cool! Here's a copepod that I found in a patch of algae in my tank. I do plan on breeding some pods in the near future too.​

I've begun the process of preparing to take on some copepod cultures. I'm test printing some pod hotels for their rearing tank once I've set that up.

Tetraselmis Phytoplankton Culture - Day 09 -- HARVEST DAY! ​

Left: The vessel on Day 0, you can see the color is much lighter. On the right is harvest day. Between the start date and harvest day, I did have to change my lights, as the original ones had died.
The entire volume of the phytoplankton is just shy of 2 gallons. From this, I harvested 7 jars. Each jar contains two cups measured out, this will be my reef and shrimp feed, as for the rest of the culture? I'll be rolling this back into another 2 gallon run.

Today's harvest! 7 jars of green gold!

Another new start

Today, I'll be preparing the remainder of my phytoplankton for the next run!
I'll need a few things to get this going:​

1. Salt Water mixed at 1.024 SG​
2. ~1 Gallon of Phytoplankton
   

   1. In this case, I had a bit more than a gallon​
3. 4ml of F/2 Fertilizer​
4. Time ;)​

Beyond that, my brine shrimp are huge, and the fish love the love food
