What spectrum and amount of light are you throwing at them? Cause whatever you’re doing it is working!

Can't say high nutrients hurts here! You do anything for it or just let it ride? My tank eats p04 like it's candy

This makes me feel much more comfortable with my nitrates around 40

Letting it ride. I haven’t tested in several months but I was curious bc everything has been looking really happy lately

Radion g6 blue with AI blade grows
Basically a modified AB+ @ 300-450 par for 4 hours and then another 4 hours with no cool whites. Royal Blue maxes out at 60% for the entire schedule

Nice as always. Out of curiosity do you always run your Alk at 11 dKh?

I don’t care about dKh . I only pay attention to ph. 8.2-8.5. I dose all my alk when the lights are off. If my ph drops below 8 I add more mls to the doser. Every couple days I run my trident to see if I need to add calcium or magnesium. Alkalinity has to be tested to check cal/mag.

so... what are you serving up for me to eat Charles, besides that bubble algae?

Crank up your carbon dosing, denitrators and gfo bc Acros clearly can’t survive in these horrible conditions……and keep that alk flatlined. I almost forgot about that one

Hi all,
not sure if you watched this recent presentation from Charles Delbeek about this topic… can help potentially answer some questions or doubts

We often consider the smartest guy in the room the one who holds degrees, or labels, certificates, or letters in front of their name. They taught science, and absolutes, they use fancy words, the talk down to others in arrogance and inflamed egos. Then, the beauty of mother nature comes along to discredit their worthiness, yet, the ego defends, and is dismissed as an outlier or anomaly. See, when we realize there are no absolutes in life, no one way of doing things, and that the only thing provable, is in our individual reality, and experiences, through trial and error, failure, and real hands on learning, do we then realize the beauty of LIFE ;)
All we know is what we learn, what we learn is what we experience... Bless :)

Very nice, this one….

You’ve managed to keep this going for what, a couple years now??

Over 4 I think. It’s a slow grower but I’ve made several large frags off of her.
Here’s one next to her

And here’s one I just sent to another hobbyist
