For those of you that missed it, Drs. Foster & Smith host an annual frag swap at their facility in Wisconsin every year. It is an awesome, well organized event. They gave each frag seller a Bio-cube aquarium and goodies! They also had a store wide 10% off sale all weekend. They also had educational tours of the facility and how it all works. Very Cool!

Here are some pics of the weekend...

Was that all you could sell out of? A bio-cube? Seems kind of small!

I usually bring a 45 gallon "breeder" - 48 x 18 x 12 when I go to swaps.

With about 70 traders and around 600 attendee's there was plenty of coral for trading/swaps. There were guys that set up different systems or had more than one spot. I helped my buddy last year when he took a boatload of frags down and had a hard time selling them. This year we both traded and both brought a lot less. He sold out fast this year and I brought mostly common stuff. I ended up selling stuff for $5 a frag at the end just to get rid of it. A bunch was given away too. Soft corals are a big hit up there, but I gotta say sps are gaining ground. It was probably the last time(first time for me) I trade corals there. I am gonna go again next year but I want a crack at some of the nice stuff people bring. By the time I got to look around I just ended up with four frags. (a pink lemonade, a monti confusa, ORA miami orchid(gift) and a green acro that rtn'ed on me.

They were aquapods. They also had auctions/silent auctions and a bunch of stuff at the store. By the time I was done trading(I stopped at about 1:00) most of the good stuff at the store was picked through.

We brought extra corals, so did alot of people. However they do advise against it. It was still one of the best organized events yet.
