Really? But its huge compared to the pods I've seen before. Like 200 times bigger. Also, is it a bad one? Your ellipsis makes me think its bad.

This helped me ID something very similar in my father-in-law's tank. I just setup a reef and thought I'd 'seed' it with a small piece of rock that had these all over it. His were huge also, in his Eel tank, I assume since he was feeding them and nothing around to eat them.
