It was small, not much bigger than my thumb nail. Looks like some kind of anemone to me but I'm not sure what kind. Any ideas?

Good luck man, i cant stand anemones these things love to spread and tick me off. I smash mine and super glue their crevice shut and hope they dont spawn more demons

Oh, it's not in my tank. I know everything that's in there. This was in a tide pool at the beach. I guess I should have said that in the OP.

What beach? That may help with ID’ing the local inhabitants
It was just south of Washington Oaks State Park near Marineland. I'm guessing since you're from Orlando you know the general area.
