My tank is about 6 to 7 weeks old. The only thing in it currently is two clown fish and three peppermint shrimp. It’s a 25 gallon system. I found these little white balls in the filter floss. Any clue what they are? My first thought was clown, fish, eggs, but the system is way too new for that to happen. Could they possibly be pineapple sponges?

How big are they?

Is that photo wet or dry?

How deep in the floss are they? Right at the start?

They are about a mm. Fairly small. This is a wet photo. They are sitting about halfway into the floss, not right at the intake wier
