Hi all I am setting up a FO tank in my office. I have it plumbed into my Sump / Fuge and Reef DT -

I want to do "somewhat aggressive"

This is what I am looking at -

Volitan Lion Fish
Cool Trigger
Pair of Maroon Clown
Maybe a puffer

Ideas - will they work together? Tank is 90 gallons.

I want a Damsel only tank. Just put 100's of damsels in it. I will have a spare 75 gal setup soon and that is what I am going to do with it.

90 may be too small for all those big guys. :/

Yes, egg crate will work for the lid.
None of the fish you've chosen are small enough for a 90g tank.

How about
Orange Banded Stingfish
Russle's Lionfish
Hardwicke Wrasse
Anglerfish
Saddleback Butterflyfish

I wouldn't recommend the clowns, and if you decide to get them anyway, don't expect two individuals to mate up. Finding a mated pair is the only way to go. But again, they don't belong in a fowler. They are reef fish.

I only say the clowns because I have a pair in my frag tank that I picked up local for a great price. I already had a bonded pair of snowflake clowns in the reef tank. I heard the maroon are very aggressive and don't want issues with the snowflakes.

Oh yes, Maroons get large and are nasty, they are safe in a FOWLR. But if you plan on putting them with the Snowflakes, thats a bd idea.

I like your original list except for the volitan because it will get too large - I know the trigger will too but it depends on which type how quickly it will grow.

Thanks- I think I will go with a dwarf zebra lion fish, the two maroon clowns and am researching "smaller" triggers and maybe a flame angel?

Okay so I traded in the Maroons for a wrasse in my Reef tank. I am also going to do the Dwarf Lion in the reef tank. For the FOWLR tank - I am going to do a trigger, Angel and maybe few other smaller fish.
