Hi All, I'm new to the site but not to the hobby,

I have a coral tank that's been a learning curve failure with a few pieces left. I have a saltwater fish tank 125 for 5 years with plenty of rock cycled with sand bottom and now a bigger sump, 55 holds about 35. Two fish, clown n 5inch passer angel not coral friendly, just lost 12inch Vllamigi? tang.
Question is if I convert FO tank to coral will it have to cycle again or light cycle? I put a spare light over part of the tank and the rock is browning up thus, I guess it will have some light cycle? To go through. Thank you, kg

Just switched sumps n big water change. Wanted to monitor with some light before moving coral, passer angel is a real concern. But he's well fed.

Would like to try sps but not in budget right now and I don't or haven't got the water quality right for coral.
