Hello All
@Jay Hemdal @vetteguy53081

My foxface has been with me for about 6 months now. He first came in a bit skinny…. Since ive had him He has always eaten very very well. In fact He eats like a pig! Recently (about 3-4 weeks ago) i started noticing he is getting REALLY FAT. He swims very well, eats amazing…. No scratching, no hiding in exces, Hes just VERY fat…..

Is this something i should be concered? Internal parasites? Bloated? Or is he just eating too well?

I feed 3x a day small portions of: Marine spectrum pelets + dried mysis shrimp + tetra color pro pelets + nori + selcom (all mixed up)

All the fish eat this; foxface is the first to run after the food.

fish appears to be constipated.
Have you been feeding this fish a lot of pellet foods?
Did this fish at one time have flukes?
Is its feces normal or mucus like?

This may be what is referred to as edema where the fish has a hard time maintaining its bodily fluids with the current tank water related to kidney or liver failure.
If you see rapid breathing , it may involve the fish's entire body. often feeding brine shrimp IF eating may help any stuck foods pass as prolapse may be developing.

Second opinion. . . @Jay Hemdal

@vetteguy53081 he always eats pellet food. Mysiss shrimp aswell (dried). Never seen him with flukes… used to be more “yellowish” but i havent seen him as yellow as when he first came…

Feces are SOMETIMES white mucus.. almost like a white jelly substance..

Seems like it could be constipated, looks a bit too thick to just be from over eating. However, you've been seeing feces?

One possible diagnostic is to not feed the tank for three days. If the fish slims down, then it is just a pig. If it stays about the same, then something else is going on. Or course, if you tank has lots of algae, this trick won't work as well.
