Those might be ok without a dip, cloves are pretty hardy. But an iodine dip like Seachem Reef Dip is what some Reefers use for a precaution.My clove polyps are starting to grow like crazy on my back wall. How should I go about getting them off and fragging them? I was thinking of taking a razor blade and scrapping off the huge sheet and then use the razor and frag them into smaller pieces. I also understand that it's a good practice to dip freshly fragged corals to prevent infection. What do I dip them in?

I was doing some research and I’m finding different opinions on adding them to frags. Can they just be super glued, if so, is it only on the area in between the polyps?
Yes. I just put a pea sized (or smaller if small frag) dab of super glue gel on the frag plug, dunk it in tank water for a second to skin it up, then put on the clove clipping and gently tap it in place to seat it in the glue. I let it sit out of the water for a few minutes until I’m sure it’s secure, then add it a frag rack in the tank. Anywhere on the frag on the underside can have the glue on it.
