We have decided to move forward with the annual frag swap scheduled for april 7th 2019. We need a ton of volunteers and really need everyone to step up to the plate for this. We cannot pull this off and will not try to hold more if we cannot get enough interest from club members to help out with this event. First we need YOUR help getting the word out. The more interest we have and the more people we get to come both customers and vendors the more successful we will be. We know you guys are in social media groups and have some friends, lets make sure that everyone knows how awesome swaps are and since its been a couple of years since we have had a swap in Pittsburgh it is time to let everyone know. The best part is if you volunteer you can get early access to find those cherry pieces to add to your collection.

Our Vendor Lineup as of now, with more being added daily goes as follows.

Cherry Corals
Eye Candy Corals
Zoanthid Garden
Premium Polyps
Blue Line Corals
Extreme Marine
Top Garden Products
Sunset Corals
Spike Corals
Coral Cave

Location is the Washington County Fairgrounds conveniently located at the intersects of Interstate 79 and Interstate 70
2151 North Main Street, Washington, PA 15301

If you are a vendor and would like to get a spot (there are only a few more) you can PM me.
If you are a hobbyist looking for a table with power also message me.

Is this the same day as RAP in Orlando?
It is the same weekend as RAP in Orlando. Granted a lot of folks aren't take the 970mile one way trip so we are giving all the surrounding areas something awesome that they can do instead of the 1900mil trip to Florida.

At the next meeting on January 19 2019 we will have a presentation by Mike Paletta. During that meeting we will also be discussing some details on the upcoming April 7 Frag swap (Washington country fairgrounds from noon - 4 PM). Specifically the need for volunteers for parking attendants - required by the fairgrounds to rent their facility ( I suggest a few shifts starting 1 hour before noon) , entry ticket sales =2-3 people for the first 2 hours and one after that until the swap is over) , raffle ticket sales= 2 people at all times, announcers for raffle winners ( this will be done though-out the show - not all at the end). As well as others for misc prep work, clean up, etc . Without enough volunteers we cannot have a swap. If you want to do a certain job please let us know.

OK members, at the last meeting I asked for volunteers regarding the necessary jobs for a successful Frag-swap and several people said they could help. Plus, I have had a few more people say they could help on R2R. So, this will be a thread toward organizing who is volunteering to do what. The jobs are : #1 Parking lot help which is required by the fair grounds or the club will have to pay for it. Parking lot first shift = 11-2, second shift 2-5 : we need 4 people for first shift ( busy) and 2 people for second shift. I believe the Fairgrounds require an on sight meeting regarding all parking volunteers. #2 We need 2-3 people at the door taking entrance money, and selling raffle tickets from 11:30 am - 2pm and maybe 2 people for the second shift from 2-5. #3 we need at 2 people watching the raffle items and making sure the ticket containers are organized and also selling additional raffle tickets. #4 We need somebody to announce raffle winners which we are going start at 1 PM and we will have a few winners called on the top of each hour ( 1,2, and 3) and at 4 pm the rest of the raffle will happen. We need a few more people to help when/were needed. I think that adds up to 15 to 20 people. Please post what you would like to do and when you want to do it - we will try to accommodate all. If you do not want to post - please message me and I will make out a chart or something.

So far, we have acquired a few generous sponsors for the frag swap. Just to name a couple, @MarineDepot , @Bulk Reef Supply! We will be announcing more sponsors as the day grows nearer! We are extremely grateful for the generous donations, and are looking forward to this years frag swap! Thank you!
