I'm setting up at 15g frag tank. I have read some pros and cons of doing both but I wanted to see what some people though of it. Any advice would be helpful.

Also is it a good idea to have any CUC(Shrimp, snails, hermits, crabs)?

What about any certain fish?

Thanks

Is the frag tank going to be plumbed into your display, or stand alone? What kind of sump/filtration do you plan on having on it? I always lean towards BB for frag tanks, if you don't need it for filtration, skip the sand. And +1 on the six line. They are jumpers though, so a net over the top would be good.

sand and throw in a conch or a cucumber. a veteran reefer in my area that has several frag and display tanks told me his corals always did better with lr and sand set ups than than bb with eggcrates FWIW

It will be a stand alone. I was thinking of plumbing it with a 10g sump and doing a sock, possibly a skimmer or LR- wasn't sure what would be better and I also wasn't sure if I needed to run a carbon or gfo reactor. Or my other option would be a AquaClear 20 HOB with Carbon, sponge and BioMax pellets.

What is the best way to go?

For me, i guess it all depends on the system you want to keep, but for a small nano like urs i would prefer to use artificial filtration (ie skimmers, reactors, dosing) as add ons rather than substitutes to the natural method.

all you need is water changes. skip the sponges. dont need skimmers or reactors. maybe filter floss and carbon if you want but both unneccessary
